Whenever I see this really nice looking interiors I just imagine if they'll still look all that nice when they're 5-10 years old.

I'm pretty sure I saw an IS with that interior a few months ago. It looked really nice but it doesn't seem it's anything all that new?

hmm. you're right.
i was under the impression that the carpet matched the leather.
I looked at some old pics, and they all have black carpet.

No.
The top is an LS460 in
Alabaster leather.
The middle is an SC430; the last is an IS250/350. Both have
Ecru leather.

is the Ecru leather consider white? it would look awesome with piano black trims instead of that brown wood.

I agree that the a true two tone looks very nice. I was looking at CPO LX470's and was very disappointed to find them only in beige and gray. Very boring colored leather. I'm not sure if they even made a true black interior, but that leather just did not stand out.
There was a thread here a long time ago showing the interiors of all of the top of line cars, like the S class, 7 series, LS, Phaeton, etc. Can anyone find that thread again to show those pics? I've search but without any luck.

If you're not going to have wood, don't you think carbon-fiber trim looks better than that piano-black stuff?

They did some NICE silver/aluminum-colored carbon-fiber weave on the IS-F, both on the console and door panels. I normally like wood, but this stuff was a knockout.

lol must be a taste issue. while personally i am never a fan of wood (especially on a sport car), the silver CF trim on the is-f is just awful imho. my wife's facial expression when she first saw it was pretty priceless too
