they do? where, on forums? Big 3 surely not?

I dont know really who is the competition in their market thats doing better than Honda and Toyota.

difference today is that you have to work hard to sell almost any car. And I am sure that dealers will become arrogant again, given the chance.

Hyundai, for one, has become a real automotive success story, and is now real competition for both Honda and Toyota. The growth in the number of new Sonata, Santa Fe, and Elantra models sold, especially, is impressive.

For the most part, yes, although there are still some die-hard loyalists. Just try getting some ranch or construction workers, for example, out of their Ford F-series trucks.

Not like before. Customers simply will not put up with second-rate service any more. Those days are gone.
Even the notoriously aristocratic, snobby BMW dealerships are changing. They know that if they give potential customers a bad impression, they will just buy or lease an Infiniti, Mercedes, Audi, or Lexus instead.

Majority of people are still not giving Hyundai a real look, so they still have a long way to get people into their cars, it doesn't matter how well their cars are now, some people still won't consider them

A local Honda dealer is still very arrogant, ~2k mark up on fits and civics, where the Toyota right across the street has 0 mark ups and is selling vehicles with no problem, go to another Honda dealership and you can find dealers willing to work with people. So not all dealers are willing to change.
