A/B/C pillar question?
I own an IS300 and was thinking of getting my A/B/C pillars black. They are stock grey. I thought about painting them, but dont want the smell at all.
I tried to see if AAC will sell/make moldings that are just made of plastic and I could paint them black. They told me no, since they have the CF versions, I should buy them and/or paint them when I get them. I dont like CF and I am not going to spend a whole **** load of money, so I can get the look I want.
How bout cloth?
Let me know what you have for me, as I am open to new ideas.

If I go paint, then no. To much work to get it all even on the headliner.
Someone painted there whole headliner, **** bar, visors...pretty much everything, it took him 4 cans(cant remember, maybe more) to get it to look good. It did look sweet as hell, though. He posted his steps on my.IS.

I would pull everyhting out of the car, lay it on the ground and spray away on everything that is grey, to black.
I would say, 4 days to complete the whole interior and install. Time away for drying paint.

What's wrong with the stock color for the pillars? You just don't like it?
If you really want to change the color that bad without painting, you could try blackout trim tape (thr TrimBrite company make some good stuff....I've used it myself) cut to fit the pillar size. It comes in varying widths. Or, it it isn't wide enough, you could do the center of the pillars instead.

Thanks, but I would have to do more research on the trim tape, before I make my decision. I havent figured out what I am going to do yet.
