Default Has the world gone mad!

Hi there all from rainy England, the world has gone mad, i am in the middle of a comlpeat rebuild of the front suspension of my ls400 and have sourced all the ball joints from a pal who works for a parts factor. the bushes i got from the USA and fitted a treat. all good so far, then i noticed that the top radiator hose has a split in it so contacted my pal again and asked him to get me one, Sorry buddy says he you ned to go to a lexus/toyota dealer for that one, it's only a bloody hose!!!!!. i tell you now the worlds gone MAAAAAAAAD Rant over.

LOL whats so bad about going to dealer to get the hose? Great first post! Welcome and I hope the rest of your build goes smoothly .

I've just searched my local auto part stores and none of them have LS400 upper radiator hoses. The Lexus/Toyota dealers is probably the only option you have. Besides, I would not trust any other brands for radiator hoses. I've learned to live with OEM products when it comes to something delicate like the cooling system.

Default radiator hose

thanks guys, for the replys, but here you only have to look at a dealer and you can see the guy behind the parts counter rubbing his hand together and saying to himself here comes another mug, double the price then add the VAT[ value added tax]

No kidding, stealerships are the same everywhere. Have you checked out pro-lex uk? I'm sure you have, but just throwing it out there just in case, maybe they can help you.
