Hey guys.... check out what pulled into my work yesterday, an Ariel Atom-- and it's electric! His license plate reads 170MPGE. I absolutely love this car. I used it for the majority of my races in Project Gotham Racing 3. LOL The owner took a friend for a drive down the street and all I have to say is... "Wow!" That little go-kart on steroids can move! It must be sweet to have all your peak power as soon as you press the throttle. My co-workers and I spoke with the owner and he said all-in-all, the car cost him $150K... $40K was for the batteries alone!

Looks gorgeous. My friend (Mr. Woolery) has one here in So Cal (gas powered-GM 4 cyl) and we rode around in it last year, was amazing. Recently one of our Lotus club members purchased a SC Honda one in Malibu, that thing flies.

I'm not sure about the electric one, it could possibly be a one-off. I've read that the gas engine Atom does 0-60 in 3 seconds flat and 1/4 mile in 12.4. Of course though, this thing is meant for zipping around the track.
