The XRS, because of the lower-body flarings and air-dam, has even less ground clearance than the standard Matrix. If you lower it even more, you may have trouble with all but the smallest road bumps, humps, ramps, etc....
I have a 04 Matrix XRS as my dd/beater and it's a fun little car good on gas decent space for wheels and body kit parts lol. I plan on lowering it.
