Paying money to mod a car you drive to save money on gas makes zero sense.

 

i only wanted a little more low end power and adding headers or exhaust will not greatly hurt gas mileage.

you shot down all the good ideas, those cars are easy to find parts for and lots of reliable motors sitting in salvage yards. I just bought a 97 civic coupe for commuting, nice $4000 purchase w/85k miles, I didn't buy it to replace my 350Z for performance. Just use it as a beater, don't waste money modifying it.

Unless you go motor swap or turbo you won't feel the effects of intake/headers/exhaust unless you rev it out anyway and where is the gas savings in redlining the thing.

 

If I knew prices of gas were going to go up this high, I probably would have kept my Integra. I miss that car!
