although they didnt truly showcase the GT-R in this episode, i felt the race was quite exciting and funny
overall im just tired of seeing the GT-R because now im thinking, so what if it is faster than a 911 turbo... it is never as beautiful nor does it have a soul
its as if the GT-R and the Alfa 8C are on different ends of the "soul" spectrum

does my car have soul? cars arent an emotion ... they can evoke an emotion in you ... but they cant be one in and of them selves
if you wanna be that way then my car has attitude, a bit of arrogance and a lot of eat-my-exhaust while your car has um, lets see ... some squish, docileness and a lot of hospilatily
i think what you were trying to say is that the GT-R seems to be lacking the interactive expreience (which was always my complaint about the 350z)

well not exactly interactive experience
because im sure u can get it to interact with you loudly if you take it on a track
but its a certain je ne sais quoi that im thinking of
maybe its the looks, maybe its the overly precise making of the car... but it just feels like its got no more mystery left in it for me to like it...

you know what I didnt like about the GT-R that jeremy did point out; that each part is specific to that GT-R, and that everything is custom and individually made. That scares me a little, what if I need to fix something? When something breaks, how long am I with out my car because some one in Japan needs to custom make a new one?
This car isn't priced so high that it wont be people only car; it is in the running for my next car (along w. the IS-F & CTS-V), but I now have concerns about it's reliability, i fore see a lot of GT-Rs that spend lots of time at the dealership. My mum had a Vette like that once, the first one in Vancouver of that full redesign (rememeber the digital dashes? I loved that car), and man o man was it at the dealership a lot.
Anyhow, I'm sure I'll have more to say after the full test with it later on in the season, but that's what I thought this time.

The GT-R's looks are a bit weak, but no one can doubt its performance, handling, and gadget factory cool.
The Alfa Romeo looked and sounded nice though! To bad it handled like crap

i'm surprised no one brought up how GREAT last sunday's episode was!
the GT-R (i now want one again)
those 2 fabulously awesome old boats ... that benz was pretty cool i must say ... i'm not sure if i like it asthetically, but it had some of the coolest little features
and the fox hunt! that was brilliant fun
i definitely think that was the best of the season so far
