Default Subaru Leone

Has anyone of you ever heard of this car.
It,s a car built in the 80's and I'm planning to get one.
I'm planning to buy one between 1986 and 1989.
I know they are crappy cars but I was planning to make this into a project and fix one up.
But I have a few questions.
How are these engines in durability are they more like Ford or like Toyota?
And actually since the engine is so small I'm, planning to add turbo but the thing is I want automatic transmission with all wheel drive not the manual ones but I wonder if you can add Turbo to an automatic trans.car with all wheel drive.
And what do most of you think about this car?
One thing I like about these carsis that they are rare, the spare tire goes in the engine bay and inside all the controles are different.

You heard wrong. They are great cars. It's an old school rally car from the WRC.

My turbo 1800cc AWD Leone is currently out of action but I'm planning to fix it up for offroad racing. It has a lockable differential which is useful.

If you drop a WRX engine in one of these you'll be looking at approx 11-12sec 1/4mile.

The engine just keeps on running long after the car has rusted to death, but if it does break they are hard to work on, because it is a boxer engine (horizontally opposed cylinders).

Course you can put a turbo on an slosh-box (auto). But non turbo engines aren't really designed to take the extra pressure so you'd be better dropping a turbo engine in.

I'd get a new(er) 2.2L H4 to put in there.
