Lexus IS Coupe / IS Hatch
I just don't see any of these variants happening this late in the second-gen
IS life cycle. Isn't it due for a body style change in two years?
Also, Lexus does not need a sporty three-door hatchback. Frankly, I don't
see them ever building one. And, as for a wagon, I would think that the
dismal sales of the first-gen IS Sportcross might have the Lexus beancounters
scared out of their minds.
They do need a coupe and a cab variant, but they should just wait for the
3rd gen IS platform, especially given the current state of the US economy.
My guess is that North America would sell a large portion of the coupe/cab
variant, and car sales are not exactly strong right now...
