Need suggestions to "add color" to bland interior...
So, my friend just got an Acura TSX.
It's silver, with gray leather, and metallic silver trim.
Looks quite monotone. Bland and uninteresting.
Any suggestions to add some color or visual interest to the interior, without it being too ricey or flashy?
Aftermarket plastic-wood dash kits suck.
This isn't her car, but you get the idea...

The same interior, in beige, comes with standard wood trim.
See if the Acura parts has in stock (or can order) the factory (not aftermarket) wood-trim dash parts...or other parts from that interior if desired. They can be re-installed in the service bay or body shop, but, of course, it will cost some for that.
If you remember my recent TSX review, I strongly recommended the 2008 beige/wood interior over the 2008 non-wood or 2009 interiors.

You can also, in auto-parts-stores, get aftermarket seat covers in a number of colors and patterns. This, of course, is cheaper than ordering factory parts, but with non-stock seat covers, make sure they don't interfere with seat-mounted side air bags. Many of them do...and have disclaimers on the packages they come in.

IMO silver's kind of a hard color to match with another color. I've seen people try to put black rims on a silver car and it just clashes. The interior of that car does look pretty monotone..but I can't really see any color matching that interior other than the colors that it already has (silver and a bluish grey). Maybe she could put in an after market stereo to add some "accent" to the interior from the stereo's lights

i think mmarshall's suggestion for the factory wood trim pieces might be a better idea--especially since Phil's friend is a lady...
