MARANELLO, Italy — Ferrari is taking a unique approach in debuting its new Ferrari GT, building hype and expectations as it begins a slow striptease on a dedicated Web site.

The official unveil will take place at the 2008 Paris Auto Show in early October, but beginning today, visitors to the special Ferrari site can experience the car gradually until it is fully exposed.

Ferrari says the new GT's engine roar will be revealed first, with photos and the official name of the GT coming soon.

Updates and additions to the unveil site will continue until the Paris show.
