As I said in a past thread, in the near future all cars will come with nav (including backup cameras) as standard equipment, just like AM/FM radios, heaters, etc. It’s no more than another enhancement that car owners will expect in any car they purchase.

 

wow nice! Yeah I just noticed Toyota Canada is now offering navigation system as a dealer-installed accessory on the Yaris! (but not the Corolla ).


Keep in mind that some companies are offering portable navigation system as part of their factory option.

e.g. MINI, Volvo and smart (Europe). Their nav option is now a Garmin but instead of saying "Garmin" it says the respective car manufacturer.
