Dinan tuning question
If someone gets a plaque and serial number because they got the 10 point setup from Dinan on a 335i will that help out there resale value better than just getting a reflash of the car engine? Someone told me that it is similar to seeing a Brabus MB or Saleen Mustang. If that is the case than I would think so. What do you guys think on this?
Dinan will appeal to enthusiasts and might net you more money there. Or maybe you'll be able to take advantage of a wannabe or something. haha Really though lots of normal people won't even know what Dinan is... Mod your car to your tastes and dont even worry about re-sale value IMO.
but dinan, brabus, car enthusiasts know about that and would be willing to pay more, but to most people, they have little idea about what they are (maybe see some cosmetic difference).
seller for sure will give a higher asking price coz' of the dinan stuff, but personally i don't think all buyers would be aware. let's just say i saw a guy selling his m5 with some dinan stuff. he had a high asking price, but no one asked about it, and he gradually dropped the price to pretty much the same as normal m5 out there. i talked to him and he was trying to tell me how dinan stuff are worth it, blah blah blah. i played dumb and said i don't know what that is and he just kept on dropping price
Flashing a 335i, voids the warranty (although you can remove the chip before service.) Dinan's chips and mods do not void the warranty. So if your 335i is still in it's warranty period, Dinan mods do hold more value for a tuned car.
