Gas Prices will be over $4.00
Its funny how folks elsewhere tell us to quit crying. I wonder if their prices have fluctuated in the last 5 years as ours has? I remember when i first started driving gas was 1.50 for premium. We are almost at 4 bucks, in some places, about 3.50ish here, and in that time frame, that kind of drastic jump is a BIG DEAL. Especially when there is no real cause for this hike, it does get to us why prices keep rising and the "LEADERS" of this Nation aren't doing anything to stop it.
That is why it is SO important for us to start drilling more on our own and building more refineries....and stop listening to the NIMBY crowd.
EXACTLY my point......are we going to listen to GreenPeace or common sense?
I vote for the latter.

just payed $3.55/gal for 93 after work today.a year ago i was paying $1 less. that's a difference of $20 per week in just commuting. that may not be much to a lot of you, but that means i have to bring my lunch now whereas 12 months ago i didn't...
Gas in Canada a few years back in '03 was 0.84$ CDN per liter
1 CDN = 0.65 USD (JAN '03)
1 USD = 1.57 CDN (JAN '03)
If I did the math correctly we use to pay above $5 CDN per gallon in Canada back in '03.
Even though the CDN higher, the price has gone up anyways. Yet it is cheaper with the conversion.
Anyways, we are still paying more for gas.
Only way the gas will cost the same (depending on currency conversion). The CDN would have to be like worth 1.10 USD. And if the cost of a barrel did not go up. Then the price of gas in Canada would be equal to the $4 a gallon.

Self-serve regular gasoline is just under $4.00 a gallon, and mid-grade and premium are $4.00 and higher as a customer prepares to fuel his car at a 76 station in Los Angeles Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008. Crude prices spiked above $102 a barrel for the first time Wednesday but retreated after the government said stockpiles of crude oil and gasoline rose far more than expected last week.

this news should motivate lexus to create an IS600h. it'd have more power and better mileage than the ISF.
