what do you mean "connected"? it's not connected to the exhaust itself

yup, same. bottom line, the tips are not connected to the exhaust.

to me, not a big deal neither, like someone says, even lambo mur are like that, and no one is crying over that. imho the quad setup is ugly whether the tips are connected or not, period. but i do want to make sure we get the right info

Well the 'Autospies' review indicated that it is more of a refined connection in the production model, not totally mismatched like on the preproduction pic.

Actually this time you're wrong. The pre-production IS-F's exhaust tips were NOT connected to the exhaust system but autospies and other websites have shown that the production IS-F's INDEED have tips that connect to the rest of the exhaust system.

This makes sense on the production models, otherwise people would end up melting the bumper from inside-out.

ok, first of all autospies i really don't care much about what they say.

secondly, can you explain the following picture? it's a production is-f at dealership

if the exhaust is connected to the tips, then the tips can't be hold down to the bumper like that, vibration would kill it?

i have yet to see a production in person, but from the most recent info i have, the tips are still not connected

I think rominl is right. This guy's dad just bought and ISF and he posted some pics right here on CL.

The tips are NOT connected and there are reasons why they should not be connected. Some may think that it's rice but so are lambo and other exotics.

I guess the horse is still alive and kicking. We got another confirmation.

A couple notes:
- The exhaust still isn't connected to the outlets in the bumper in any way. You can still see the ground when looking through the cutouts.
- The seats are firmer and more supportive than the seats in the IS350 while still being more comfortable. It feels like sitting in a seat, rather than on it.
