Looks GREEEEAAAAAAT!!!!!

I stopped at a light besides the current RX8 the other day and though dayum that's NICE! Love the short front overhang. This update looks even better. And those short reverse rear doors are a very practical solution to the typical 'coupe challenges' of putting stuff in the back seats.

 

It looks pretty nice. I love those seats.

 

The RX8 would be great without that crappy renesis engine. Throw in the mazdaspeed 3's engine in there and it'll be perfect.

 

Then it wouldn't be an "RX" car

Some beautiful details. There are some gorgeous details, espeically around the airvents, the rear diffuser. But none of it looks very cohesive. We've got a slightly teutonic, old RX-8 design with the new, curvy, and organic bumpers tacked on. It doesn't look natural. And I thinkt he front grill is a tad too wide.

I am surprised they decided to change the interior. There was nothing wrong with it. But they gave it a completely new center stack and console that looks the same, but is just higher and gets rid of the Nav pop up space. Weird decision.

 

 

I think I can see what the next RX will be like... as this change moved the RX8 closer to that furai, taiki or whatever concept car they've released just sometime ago... They've certainly moving it to bridge the concept designs...
