Money spent on gas each week (for you individually)?

I remember taking the ML on a small road trip to Cincinnati, then Detroit, then back home last Christmas. I spent about $400 in gas. That trip was only 4 days long.
I need to learn to have a softer foot.

There can only be One
Oh wait we are taking all cars we own into consideration?
Then I am in the 80 per week range between my wife and I.
I drive appx 33 miles to work everyday.
I remember there was a study somewhere that most Americans live about 25-35 miles from work on average. Damn I don't remember where that was
They had one dude that lived in California and worked in Nevada, he took a plane to and from work Every single day!

As for the all cars thing, I don't drive them all, but I'm the one that ends up having to fill up.
It's that wicked "oh honey the car is out of gas, can you go fill it up for me so I can get to work tomorrow?" Jedi mind trick.

That's pretty common (they are adjacent states, after all) - I know a few lawyers who do that. I used to "commute" SF-Chicago three weeks a month (red eye Sunday night, back on Friday afternoon), and I got to know several people who did the same thing, usually taking the same flights as me every week, as well!

Actually, the poll is set up to gauge what each of us personally spends from OUR driving (not counting spouse or other family members). Of course this may include the driving that you do with your family.

Thanks mmarshall, I'm sure I can get a good deal.
My issue is why am I paying all this money for a luxury car if I can't drive it? I work hard for my money and I should enjoy what it brings me, right?
Btw, I did test drive the Prius when it came out and it's not bad for a daily driver.
I guess the bottom line is I despise commuting everyday in traffic. lol

Well, go to it, Liz. The time you spent selling Toyota and Lexus vehicles must have given you some contacts in the buisness that can get you a good deal. If I was there in SoCal, I'd check your new car out for you myself and make sure it was OK, with no defects, but since I'm 3000 miles away, maybe Henry could check it over for you instead.
Just make sure you can live with a Prius. Selling them is one thing....driving one every day is another matter. It's a radically unconventional and geeky car inside, with some weird setups for gauges, readouts, and controls. It rides smoothly with the narrow, high-profile, tires, but is rather sluggish in handling, with body lean. It also takes a while to get rolling, depending on how the gas and electric motors interact. But if you want quality, it's hard to beat......it is extremely well-built, perhaps the best Toyota-nameplate product on the market today in its overall material and assembly quality.
