Wait, on the Corolla options list, is it not possible to have Navigation, Bluetooth, and an 8-speaker system all at once?

That's horrible.

What about SmartKey? Is that available? I can't tell from these pictures.

So far, no AWD. No 3.5 V6. No valvematic 2.0L engine. Anything else Toyota depriving from its best selling car?

SX-4? No...I can't agree. I reviewed the SX-4 last year. It is shorter, narrower, taller, and boxier than either the new Corolla or Matrix. The SX-4's small size is one reason it can afford to offer AWD at a 15-16K starting price.

But, still no sign of SmartKey
Name another car in it's category and price that offers a smartkey thing.
The Corolla doesn't market towards a crowd like that. I can see if demand goes up for it but I personally don't care if a car has it or not. A regular security remote works for me.

I don't think a smartkey is necessary for the Corolla or Matrix. Even though Nissan has incorporated it into lower end cars, it shouldn't be the main reason to buy the vehicle. Plus it will just cause mroe complaints from it like "battery died to quick" or "it got scrambled being next to my cellphone". That will just cause more problems. Look at all the complaints with Nissan's and BMW's. Also, if Benz, Audi and BMW (only an option) has not even integrated it to their cars, why should a mid-class vehicle have it?

it's a nice option but with all the trouble Toyota has been going through, less if more, for now.

those wheels on the slammed Corolla XRS are hideous...they should've went for some Rays or more appropriate type of wheel, not some VIP/DUB wannabe stuff (save it for the Lexus lol).

These cars better have Bluetooth and Navi together, or else i'll have to look elsewhere for a new car. Sucks that the Aussie and UK Corollas (and JDM for that matter) have better packaging (Smartkey, HIDs, etc.)

rfx (koma), it'd be nice if it was offered, is all I'm saying. Of course it's not necessary, leave that as standard equipment on Lexus. Duh.

I don't understand why Toyota has to keep compromising with their best-seller. If they can't combine navi and bluetooth, they obviously aren't "moving forward."

No valvematic or hybrid engine available, either. Tsk.

Corolla sedan is pretty nice here in Europe.

Seems like Matrix is based on Auris, and that cant be bad - first car in the history of Autobild that has beaten VW Golf as best in class (and several times now)

The Corolla gets NavTraffic info with the navigation option, but not on any Lexus other than the LS?

Does Toyota have any DESIGNERS? All their cars look... ok, but not great. They just look like lumpen pieces of clay stuck on wheels. There's no surface definition and no proportions to ANY of their cars nowadays, new Matrix and Corolla included. Even the Vibe version looks better; the lines are more creased, the design has PURPOSE.

Toyota, get with it.
