Glad she is OK. An accident like that is serious buisness.
But it makes me wonder just HOW hard she yanked that wheel when she "corrected"...especially at just 45 MPH. An LS of that vintage is no Miata. With factory-spec tires and suspension, it is a classic nose-heavy, softly-sprung, luxobarge with marked understeer. Unless there was a big mechanical defect like a wheel falling off or a broken steering arm, you've REALLY got to push an LS to get it into an out-of-control situation, especially at lower speeds.....you don't spin one out just like that, the way you can with an older, pre-90's Porsche with drop-throttle oversteer.

Wow...the woman has to be the super short-and-slim type to be able to survive that kind of headroom intrusion and climb out by herself. Very lucky of her indeed.

I agree that it was a truly remarkable and fortunate survival.........IF that is the way the car actually looked after the accident.
From now on she needs to ride the bus. No more nice cars should be screwed up by her....probably on her cell phone applying her make-up and eating a Mcdonald's low calorie salad all at the same time.
