When Acura gets V8 engines, when Acura and Infiniti get a proper full-size RWD luxury sedan, let me know . When Acura and Infiniti become truly global like Lexus, BMW, Audi or Mercedes, let me know.

Until then, Acura and Infiniti can't really compare themselves to the BMW, Audi, Mercedes, or Lexus.

Whether or not Acura or Infiniti has fullsize luxury sedans does not make the fact that the world's #1 car company (Toyota) doesn't have a single sports car any less pathetic.

Whether or not Toyota has or doesn't have a sports car is definitely not the subject or topic of this thread. Infiniti and Acura though are the subjects in this thread.

Like I said, we KNOW that a Lexus supercar and a Toyota sports car are coming, and that both will be sold in the North American market.

Can't say that same about Acura V8s, or a proper full-size RWD luxury sedan from Acura. We do know a new Q from Infiniti is coming, but we don't know whether it will be a "proper" full-size luxo sedan that's comparable to the class leaders.

Also, we know nothing about a full-size luxo sedan from Acura.

Take your own advice. Whether or not Infiniti/Acura are in the same league as MB/BMW/Lexus isn't a subject of this thread either.

The point of this thread is an Acura exec speculating and vaguely talking about future models that MAY or MAY NOT come to production. And directly related to that is Acura and Infiniti execs making vague statements.

1) Right... the point of this thread is NOT how MB/BMW/Lexus are superior. If you're going to ask someone to keep on topic, keep on topic yourself as well.

2) These execs are production planning managers. They are simply talking about the products that they are planning to have in the future.

I don't find the statements by Acura/Infiniti execs any more vague than statements by other execs. Basically, all they said was that they want to expand their lineups and stated the possible niches they are targeting. Nothing wrong with that.
