Guess this explains it...

As of the 2000 census, the city population was 3,940. Bloomfield Hills has consistently ranked as one of the five wealthiest cities in the United States of over 1,000 households - in 2000 it was ranked fourth and in 1990 it was ranked second[2] - and it is the richest city outside of California or Florida. In 2000, 57.9% of all families in Bloomfield Hills had a household income of over $200,000

At first I was shocked to see Corvettes as cop cars. Then I saw an XLR!
I think that's pretty ridiculous to spend that kind of tax money on a police car. I don't care how wealthy the town is.

This definitely confirms that the more money people have, the stupider they get.

umm, who owns the car, police department or the cop himself? i know in some states (or cities), they allow the cops to use their car and put on the cops "add-on". the department will pay for those equipments

I'm not worried about it being an XLR, I'm suprised it's an XLR-V!

Wow, I didn't even think of that at first! That's $100K!

$100K for a police car that is high risk for damage and accidents.
