How did you come up with the "corrected" version? If you think your version is "correct", contact Edmunds for correction.

Edmunds' comparison tests were done in a controlled environment so the results are bound to differ greatly from what the lead-footed editors get from their uncontrolled driving.

It isn't a corrected version. The observed average fuel economy (Camry: 32.6) was calculated during their overall testing, in case anyone didnt catch that. That includes the time they spent at the track which brings down the average quite a bit.

Yeah the Altima does have HSD. Nice of Nissan to create a sporty version of the TCH hehe. Seriously, I swear Carlos Ghosn is limiting it to 8 states to create no demand or something (like what GM did with the EV1). They're just gonna shoot themselves in the foot when people realise it's the same system and yet Toyota is selling so well and Nissan doesn't seem to want to sell to people. When Nissan comes out with their own (after the HSD lease expires), people are gonna be more cautious.
