So i took a trip to BMW today. This thread is going to partially become a rant and im sorry but i must say it.

Starts off like this my cousins gf has an 06 330xi. Now we were driving and out here in ny it was raining today. Wipers on and the blade just falls off. Now this was a little earlier in the day and she had a laundry list of other "broken" things on the car so we said lets go to bmw get it serviced and i will look at the 335(i am still carless and getting impatient awaiting the is-f). Now, we bring it into service write everythign down thats wrong and then start the waiting process. We then speak to the manager and told him if not able to fix anythign please just fix the wiper as she has work tommorow and needs a car to drive or a loaner. No loaners and we will see what we can do with the wiper. Ok, so i keep quiet get my cousin and his grl and go to the showroom. Now i have bought bmws and many other friends from this place so i only deal with one guy. He was out to lunch so now i wait 45 min for him to come back which is fine we had to wait for the service anyway. Now he comes back and gives me horrible prices for a 51k 335 on a lease. Whatever it may be i told him thank you but no thank you. Mind you if the numbers were right i would have signed the papers. Now this is about 2 hours later. Go back to the service center and the car is sitting outside nothing done and the service department closed. Now i have to open my mouth. I just start scream and cursing at anyone whos wearing a bmw shirt and they directed me too the president very quickly. I told him the story and how stuipd there workers are. I also told him how another man was waiting 4 hours for his car they did absolutly nothing and said he will never come back to this particuallar dealer ever again in his life. So he told me he cannot fix the radio or the exhaust or any of that because the service department is closed. I said ok fine but the car is not driveable without a wiper blade. Sorry cant help you he said. So now im yelling at the president how i will go outside take one from another car and put it onto mine. He said wow thats a great idea and they did that for me and gave me an appointment for everything else. All i have to say is bmw is horrible in every aspect. Service, sales, car problems, and overall they honestly do suck. RANT END

 

Well im not gonna bash BMW, they are after all REALLY FUN when their on the road. *meaning driving under their own power, not pulled by a tow truck, is that a bash?*

The free maintenance/warranty contract is great. *nice to have when your waiting for the tow truck, was that a bash too?*

If its NOT MY MONEY i'd buy a BMW. *bash?*

Now someone will post, 'ive had my bmw for yrs and never had one problem'. *unfortunatly thats the exception not the norm, more bash?*

Oh well, i'll take shoyu over sourkraut anyday.

 

and what does this have to do w/ the 2is?...

in before mods relocate this thread, or lock it...

 

I figured one that the 335 is the comparo for the is350. Also the 2is forums is where i am familiar with on clublexus.

 

There will be idiots in every car dealer. Unfortunately, you would think bmw (in your case) would take pride in their customer service

Don't get me started in jeep/chrysler
A friend of mine went to the dealer to pick up an oem rim+tire that a car wash place paying for (that they peeled away, crashed, took a chunk out of the rim). Jeep/chrysler tech wheels out rim and tire separately.
My friend looked in disbelief and asked the tech, "WTH am I going to with a rim and tire...mount it myself??? Came back 5 hours later and still not mounted
