Does anyone else like red on Bimmer's? I've never been crazy about it.
I like Red on Bimmer's, I find them quite sexy. I remember seeing a lady in a red 540 once and I fell in love and almost followed her home

I also love the fact you can get red leather seats in BMWs (YOU HEAR THAT LEXUS, lol). Very classy and different and sporting.

Yes I agree the 3 interior will hold up and is well built.

I am not crazy about it either.

I like AW (Alpine white) on M3. That gotta be my color if i decided to go with M90 M3 instead of IS-F.

haha 1Sick! Yeah the red leather definitely looks GREAT. I saw a red e60 m5 and it just didn't think it look right. LOVE the Alpine White. I think white looks great on Bimmers...it gives the car some presence.

Yeah E46 M3 looks great in white, & I also like it in grey & black too. But I dunno about this new one, I think black or grey is probably more suitable . . .

Last time I drove in an E46 M3, I didn't even notice the minimalist interior that much to bother me. I just had one of those I LOVE THIS CAR giddy grins on my face. I'm sure I'll feel the same way with the E92 M3. The interior definitely isn't photogenic and is nicer in person IMO.

I love red but it's not for me. I love to look at it, but a bit too bold for me.

Too eye catchy, not a fan of it really. But at least it's better than the "*****ty Phoenix yellow" or "smurf blue"

So I guess the "high use of incentives" which lead to "lower margins" is due to the "crappy interior" that people who don't buy the 3-series claimed.

It's not about being minimalistic. That's fine. But BMW is building cheaper interiors than they should for these prices. Audi interiors could be described as simple and actually they are simpler than BMW's. The difference is quality of materials, craftsmenship, design, ect.

I disagree. While E46 has the minimalist interior, it was executed brilliantly. Just like new S550. It looks very simple, yet looks very very nice.

E90 and E92 tho, while they are still the minimalist interior, they look very outdated, and uninviting. That was the main reason that I didn't pick E90 330i when I was shopping for my IS.

But I am sure that E92 M3 will make up more than enough for its short coming interior. Even 335i does.

It has nothing do with with "minimal" interiors. The E46 has a minimal interior, yet it's interior was better than the E90/E92. It had better materials, and it was a more overall ergonomic design. The E90/E92 interior is less inviting, and less ergonomic.

I agree, it was executed brilliantly. My whole point is (which you seem to agree on), in my opinion the positives outweigh the negatives. The interior's drawbacks don't deter me from picking the BMW. The driving dynamics of the BMW had me choose the 335i. If the main reason you chose the IS over the BMW is the interior, than I feel you don't value driving dynamics as much as I do and BMW is not for you.

I've said many times, GF chose the IS, I chose the 335i. She likes her choice and I like mine (for very different reasons). I like the IS, it's a nice car, I can say that without looking at the badge.

And there was 50 more horses in IS350 back in the 2005 days where there were no twin turbo 335i.

So, it was the interior and 50 more horses were the reason that I chose IS350 over 330i. If 335i was available since the day one, there's no question that I would picked 335i over my IS.

Ah, so the interior wasn't the only main reason. Anyways, back to the topic at hand.

Everyone has their preferences and entitled to their opinons. Can we all agree to disagree about the interior of the 3 and move on? There is a lot more to a car than just the interior. Look at the P cars... People don't buy P cars for its interior do they?
