Real good video. I just hate how the "monsters" were sandbagging. The only real race was upfront with the M battle.

They purposely put the two worse performer up front to slow the race down so the video can be made longer and have a more dramatic ending.

the M3 CSL is faster than a 997 Carrera S AND the Lamborghini Gallardo on a track.

Nurburgring Times
7:50 --- 157.787 km/h -- BMW E46 M3 CSL, 360 PS/1421 kg
7:59 --- 154.822 km/h -- Porsche 997 Carrera S, PASM setting “Performance”, (Walter Roehrl WHEELS 06/ 2004)
7:56.65 155.569 km/h – Lamborghini Gallardo SE, 520 PS/1560 kg, Tom Kristensen

so NO they didn't put the two worse performers up front. only ONE.

I'm a big BMW fan but the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups tires during dry conditions helped the M3 CSL. It's a great time regardless. However, when comparing Nurburgring times you have to realize they are on usually different days, where the conditions may vary. Some of those times posted are on "wet" days. You are right though, contrary to what Rice says about BMWs, the CSL is certainly no slouch.

LOL at the Skyline GT-R coming from nowhere and getting first. I love listening to the funny commentary these guys always have.

I beleive this is a repost, but one of the sweetest videos The M cars are just amazing. M3 can be had used for a hair under 30k and has the same incredible motor/tranny as the M3CSL.
