Default Grey Goose Vodka Customizes Rolls-Royce Extended-Wheelbase Phantom

Sybarites should be sensible, says vodka maker Grey Goose. The company is partnering with Rolls-Royce on two customized versions of the extended-wheelbase Phantom to promote a message of responsible drinking.

Date posted: 02-15-2007

MIAMI — It's undoubtedly one of the more unusual approaches to getting people to drink responsibly. Grey Goose vodka has partnered with Rolls-Royce to create two customized versions of the extended-wheelbase Phantom to promote a "sip responsibly" message.

Grey Goose said the vehicles will be used at high-profile events, where "trained chauffeurs" will educate passengers on the merits of the drink, the car and being socially responsible. The vehicles get a "Grey Goose signature blue exterior and plush upholstery," as well as the Grey Goose logo embroidered onto headrests and integrated into the trim of the car.

The Rolls-Royce extended-wheelbase Phantom is powered by a 6.75-liter 453-horsepower V12 engine.

What this means to you: What's next? The Bacardi Bentley?

Give it time before someone comes in here claiming that they're promoting drinking & driving

Edit: Has anyone had anything with Stoli Elit in it..? It puts Gray Goose to shame with how smooth it is

I'd like to know how Grey Goose's marketing guy conned the boss into a coupla Rollers . . . "Yeah, we can paint 'em our blue, then you and I drive them around for the next two years . . . What a product promotion!! See, we can call it ADVERTISING . . . . then we put a case of GG in the trunk (er, sorry, BOOT) . . . and we call it the 'auxilary tank' . . . then we get Rolls to certify them for ethanol . . . see? we're classy, and environmentally responsible too!"
