Believe it or not. I think that this could help Truck sales. There was an article about how so many americans buy only american trucks. Almost like tradition... buying a ford becuase your father and grandfather owned one. This should help toyota get their foot in the door with the Nascar fans (not to sound sterotypical.. but when you think of nascar you think of a white person from the south who drives a pick up) not saying the sterotype is true, but you get the point. I know toyota is in the truck series, but this is a larger viewing audience.

I am not much of a Nascar fan, but I wonder what engine Toyota will be using. As I understand, the rules require pushrod engines with a carb. I didn't think Toyota had a pushrod engine. Anyone have an idea?

they developed one specially for Nascar. supposedly they disassembled motors from the (old) Big 3 and took the best parts of each.

they run the same basic motor for both the nextel and craftsman truck series' iirc.
