For some of us Ontario ISX50 owners, we're just starting to see the first glimpse of winter and finding out how good our cars handle in the snow and rain. So, as I was driving down the 401 today from Toronto to Windsor, I noticed about 20 cars in the ditch. The weather was horrible, freezing rain, snow, and high winds.

I started to imagine the worse case scenario that could happen to me in my IS. What if:

1- If I fell in the ditch, would Lexus Roadside assistance pay for pulling my car out?
2- If for some reason my car didnt start due to the weather, snow, etc, would Lexus pay for my hotel room (As stated in the manual)? Or arrange for alternate transportation to get me home?
3- If I had a flat, how long would it take for them to arrive? Is it 24/7 coverage?
4- How long am I covered with free Roadside Assistance?

Has anyone out there used the Road Side Assitance offered by Lexus? If so, please share your story.

P.s: My IS250 AWD got me home safe and sound...not even one slip!

 

i was in an accident and they showed up within 15 min

1- yes they pulled my is 350 out of the dirt.

3- took about 15 min, and yes its 24 hr

so, Lexus Road Side Assitance is part of our cars? I never knew that is free service!

 

 

About 3 years ago my wife's RX died. It took roadside assistance about 90 minutes to come to her rescue. Luckily, the car was in our garage so it wasn't a matter of her being stuck somewhere unsafe or inconvenient. That could have influenced their response time. I did mention it at the dealer. The service advisor just told us to call them next time and they would arrange speedy warranty tow service to their door.

 

It isn't free....it cost me around $45,000
