Cost of modding > realized benefit
I have always been into cars. I've always done something to make everyone of them a little different than another. Even if it was something small...just so I could tell my hooptie from all the others that company produced. I didn't always consider it a hobby. I had others that have come and gone.
I collected comics.
I was a music freak. Bought a new stereo every few months and had enough casettes/cd's to fill a warehouse.
I collected designer sunglasses for a while. Boy, that's expensive.
I was a shoe freak. Once had 300 pair at one time.
I collected jewelry.
Things started to change when in 1990, I walked out of a store and there were 3 red Sentra's in the lot. Al of a sudden, my little mods weren't enough. I was headed toward the wrong car before realizing it wasn't mine. That's when I bought my first set of aftermarket wheels and I haven't looked back. I've given up collecting those other things. I still have some nice jewelry but only keep what I like to wear. Still have lots of music but sold a room full. Only have 10 pairs of shoes. Comics are too demonic for my taste. My extra cash goes to the cars now.
