Thanks for the offer.
While it's fine, of course, to get concept shots, I think it's probably more important to get shots of what is actually coming to dealerships and what we will be able to buy as customers.
Along these lines, I think some of the more interesting new prospects would be....
........Any Alfa Romeos, if Alfa actually sets up a display there. Rumors are that they may come back to the U.S. market soon.
.......Any Chinese vehicles that will be imported here for sale. Malcolm Bricklin has announced plans to import Chinese-made Cherys here, and another Chinese firm ( don't remember which one ) is going to produce a new and updated version of the classic MG sports car.
.......The new Camaro expected to debut late this year or next year, if they have it.
.......The Nissan ( or Infiniti ) Skyline GT-R.
........The new Acura NSX, of course.
........Also, since the Plymouth nameplate is gone, ask the Chrysler people if they are ever going to do a retro Road Runner with the bird graphics and Beep-Beep horn like what they have done with the Dodge Charger R/T and upcoming Challenger. I have asked them several times and gotten several different answers ( usually iffy or evasive ).
In addition, if you are from TX and used to mild winters, take winter clothes with you...while you will be indoors much of the time, go outside and Detroit this time of year is COLD.
As usual, due to job constraints, I'm going to skip Detroit this year and concentrate on the local Washington, DC show, which opens just a couple of days after the doors close up there at Detroit.

actually most of those concepts are actually production. Honda is known to have its production cars look 90-95% production. I have a feeling the lexus sports coupe concept will be almost the same car that will be production (new SC) as well, as was the case with the LS concept that debut at tokyo motor show, which turned out to be the new LS.
I will take several high resolution shots. I hope the infiniti g35 coupe concept is there..i saw it last yr when it debuted in detroit.....i hope its there again for ppl to sit. (hopefully) ..i have a feeling that IS the next g35 coupe production version too. Looks gorgeous outside and the inside seems to be production ready as well which wud make it irresistable!
ooooo cant wait for 2 more weeks.
