the toyota guy in me loves this swap but i think that for streetability and track-ability i would have done a 13B swap, its a lighter (i think) motor than the F20, smaller, and 400hp isnt overly hard. And you still get a similar torque curve with most of the power coming in at higher RPM.

This car would make an excellent dyno queen and a very fast car on paper. I dont know about much else though I think it would understeer horribly thus taking away from the S2000 its greatest assets, its handling and balance.

Blasphemy as in that poor Toyota motor being forced to reside in a Honda right? If its the other way around; I'd like to be the first to question your intelligence.

Yeah, the motor sits behind the strut towers... damn weight distro is now horrible; oh noes!

Most of the people that make comments such as yours couldn't drive their car to the limit if their life depended on it.

You should still keep listening to the Toyota guy inside of you. 400hp is a SNEEZE on a stock turbo 2JZ-GTE.... and I do mean that literally. 400hp on a 13b-rew equals busted apex seals after a period of time. And it won't have anywhere NEAR the torque curve a 2jz-gte would. If you think otherwise, you're seriously undereducated on the potential of the 2jz-gte. Go check out Stu Hagen on supraforums The rotary motor NEVER compares to it on any level except in overall size and weight. Power, reliability, and aftermarket are things on which the 2jz stands alone

Good points.

And busted apex seals are bound to happen no matter what on the 13B

This is very cool, almost as cool as a 2jz in a 240z. The Japanese equivalent of a 427 Cobra. Is he using a getrag? I would think that transmission would be too long to allow proper positioning of the shifter.

i can see putting this in a honda but putting rotary power in a Z3? isnt that going the wrong way? not much of an advantage if any to doing that. great GTE swap though.
