This thing is not going to lose anything resembling a comparison unless they get a loaded one and price becomes and issue.

I am curious to see auto performance numbers, since the majority will be autos (sold).

I am also happy the IS debuted a year ago, as this coming out NOW will steal a lot of thunder from the G35 revision and the TL.

IS sales hit 5.5K in August, with only a sedan model and two engine choices. The 3 Series far outclasses the IS in terms of model variations, and it hit 8.8K in August.

With IS coupe/convertible coming, and potential IS500 halo model, who knows how high IS sales will reach. That's not even mentioning ES sales.

Not to mention, new G35 right around the corner, and new Cadillac CTS soon ... things will get very interesting.

Well, the 335i gets all the hoopla, but you know the thing that actually sells will be the 328i auto.

230 hp/ 200 torque is pretty respectable I guess. And it's distancing itself even more from the IS250. Lexus should boost the 250 a bit.

I may be in the minority, but I also want a G25. That revised VQ25HR motor sounds good.

I would like to see the G35 become the size of its class. Its as big as a GS.
Yes, 328 is also a good bet.

Well funny thing is as much as WE want more power on paper, once sales are good, the engine maybe delayed..

I do agree though I was surprised the car had less power than the IS 300. However the engine is .5 smaller (liters).

What ever.

335i has more torque and HP to the rear wheel than IS350 by significant margin. Automobile did another dyno and on one of the run actually had 299HP to the rear wheel.

Also regarding sales figure goes, E90 sedan still outsold IS. So please get the information straight.

As far as ED goes, ,my wife's 335i fully loaded comes to $45k with tax. That's close to 5k saving from sticker.

But since you're in Cali, the cost savings (minus plane ticket) may not be worth the hassle.
You can negotiate on the ED price too - so if the ED msrp is $2700 less than the US msrp, you could technically negotiate down a couple grand more and save more. I managed to negotiate down 2k from the ED msrp on the 335i coupe. If you're in the US you get free insurance for 14 days too (Canadians dont :/). In any event after tickets/lodging/food/gas/tolls most people are reporting a $2-$3k savings plus of course a trip to munich.

so you actually go to europe to get it, what about shipping back, looks like you save a lot because you dont have to go thru an american dealer that needs to make money
