Like most here, 10-15 mph over, never tailgate, always use turn signals, stays in one lane and only pass on the right when it is a must. Also always aware of cars and trucks, on the front side, and back, always passes 18 wheel trucks as fast as possible no matter what the limit is and drive slower at night.

200th Vote.

I drive like an old ***** on the freeway, 65 mph on cruise control. That way, I avoid getting a ticket, and I'm getting the most out of my mpg's with a v8.

I drive depending on how the road conditions are. I will go above the speed limit only when there is hardly any or no cars at all on the highway. I usually stay the speed limit or slightly above, plus I am quite cautious. Seeing I know many people on the highway do not use their turn-signals, before changing lanes.

I go the flow of the lane I'm in. The more you change lanes, the more you stand out from the crowd and cause potential problems. As I get older, I want less stress in life. Enjoying the trip and the scenery is my goal now.

I usually stay in the fast lane, and just move over if someone wants to pass. It also amazes me what people do while going at 80mph..

Just like local traffic, I tend to stay in the middle lane.

I hate the inside right lane: bus, bicyclists, getting stuck behind cars waiting for right turns. For freeways, it's the slow freeway mergers...

I let the speed demons or slow pokes/hybrids () go in the fast lane.

Plus everybody loves the fast lane and that's where it gets packed and I'm zipping by in the middle lane
And isn't that where the CHP pay attention to-the fast lane???

In state I usually go 70-75 and it's fine with the cops (haven't been pulled over ever... yet).

Out of state (which is often, road trips every month) I usually go 80-85 in the fast lane.

This is one epic resurrection of a thread.

It depends on my mood. If I have no where to be and in no rush and my trip isn't very far (less than 30 minutes) I'll generally drive in the lane next to the passing lane at the speed limit or the lane next to the right lane. If I'm trying to get somewhere quicker but still not in a situation where if I'm late for where I need to be it's a big deal I'll drive 10-15 miles over the limit (depending on traffic).

If someone pisses me off I will drive aggressively. Generally I'll try to not let things get to me but sometimes I'm already in a bad mood and someone pushes me over. I never dart in and out of lanes. My form of aggressive driving is driving fast to pass someone.

I never camp the left lane unless I'm consistently passing cars. If there's a decent enough gap between cars that I'm going to be staying in the lane for a decent distance (1/4 mile or more) I'll move out of the passing lane. But I'll usually just stay in the middle lanes until I need to pass.

I'm usually one of the faster drivers on the road. I'm constantly scanning, looking for dangers and other drivers who aren't paying attention, aware of what's in front on me AND behind me. Always use my turn signals. I wish I never had to pass on the right but unfortunately there are so many lane campers around here maintaining the 5 over in the left hand lane, passing other traffic at 1mph faster. It blows my mind how many people get on the road and think it's time to shut down the brain until they get to their destination. One thing I know for certain, never ever get behind a Prius driver!

The best way to drive on the highway is 5mph slower than the flow of traffic, in the left lane. This way you can set the cruise control and chill - you never have to worry about braking, just let everyone drive around you.

I cruise but move, depends on the hour of the day, I'm aggressive conservative, very aware of my surroundings, courteous to other drivers, constantly avoid being surrounded by others, I hate being closed in, but many do that, and here in GA pass on the right, and don't use signals otherwise your open gets closed, and it's an invitation to get tailgated

I drive like an ****. I'll admit it. I'm usually driving pretty fast. Although I do signal all the time, so you know when I'm cutting you off. Usually in my SC or MB. In my FJ, I'm much more laid back and try to conserve as much fuel as possible. I've been reprimanded by my gf so I think I've mellowed in recent years. I've avoided most tickets due to connections, but that's also an **** move on my part. Slowly trying to change my driving habits, but it is difficult. I just try and think of his much fuel I waste and convince myself that the 5 minutes I save by flying down the road doesn't matter.
