So a friend of mine really wanted a Volvo C70, but he found out the wait to get one is ridiculous. Vehix.com showed that there is not a single one for sale in the Chicago area. Can anyone confirm the wait for these?

WTF is Ford thinking? For a company that loses so much money, they overproduce cars people don't want and won't make enough of the cars people DO want.

Oh, and FWIW he got a 325Ci convertible. That is a sale that Ford lost.

 

I don't know why there would be a supply problem with this car ... if anything, I'd expect a surplus. The base price for the C70 is rediculous - close to $40,000 ... for something riding on the Mazda3 chassis ... that's a lot of money.

Did your friend check with local and outlying dealerships? I'm sure there are some available somewhere.

I hope the 325 treats him well. He probably got the better car.

I dunno every dealership around here is out and I had to do a 250 mile search I think on vehix for dealer inventories for one to show up.

It's based on the Mazda 3, but its a hot looking retractible roof convertible, so yeah. Most of the reviews I have read have been fairly positive.

 

The VW Eos has way better value than the C70.

Your friend probably will like the 325cic better than the C70 from the first place anyway, although the new 328cic will come out late next year.
