The G35 is based off the I think "IVL" concept, which was a virtual dead ringer for the looks of the G35 sedan. We didn't know a coupe was coming until last minute (and it is great looking car)
The J30 was RWD and used the 222 3.0 V-6 from the 300ZX but the odd styling and small interior killed it. There was a J30 t with mesh wheels and a wing but that failed too.
Thing is the Lexus 1GS 300 was a sales flop too after the initial 20,000 sold in 1993 but Lexus updated the GS 300 in 96 with a 5 speed and then made the revolutionary 2GS 300/400 while Inifnitii gave up and discontinued the J30. It is possible they didn't have the money at the time to bring in a new model.
My ex girlfriend in college had one. We always rode in my car

Ah, now is see the error...who put the T-100 on the list...I knew this had to be an error. Here's the list I got off the link. Difference is: add the Cadillac Catera and take off the Toyota T-100.

I have to agree with the T-100 on the list. Like Acura does today, Toyota was a complete idiot not offering a V-8 and giving it super bland styling. It was a big MISS. Luckily they learn and put a V-8 in the Tundra.
Think about it, they didn't even keep the name T-100. Its a Tundra now.

Still, check the link...Toyota T-100 is not on the list...who added it?? Does the list have a life of its own??

I agree, however...... it does belong on the flop list.
As fas as it being at the top of the rollover-prone list, while it did in fact fail Consumer Reports' 1995-1996 testing, this vehicle was a long way from the Suzuki Samurai and Jeep CJ-5 in instability.
