Default 1.8t A4 Owners.... any problems?

I'm looking at a 2003 Audi A4 1.8t quattro with 30,000 miles on it. I yahoo searched problems and came up with little that couldn't be fixed with a turbo timer or by replacing the coilpacks with "J" coilpacks. Does anyone here have experience with owning one? Is there anything I should know about or any preemptive measures I can take? The help is much appreciated

having owned an 01.5 and an 03

coipacks, FUEL PUMP those give out without notice. Cam tensioner pulley. Peeling switch gear. But that was it. the coilpacks were a pain in the *** cuz i had one go out they replaced and then the following week another went out. But that's been resolved now. But watch the fuel pump they go out and you're S.O.L. if you're out in the boonies.

Bingo on this one.

My uncle and I are very aware (he is a mechanic) of the problems down here with the 1.8T VW/Audis and the late 80s to early 90 Chrysler Turbos. Both use a lot of oil.
