Default Lexus Dealer Web Sites...

Why do none of the dealer web sites have the option to search the current stock of cars on the lot?

Because some cars fly off the lots so quickly that it would be too time consuming.

Take the IS for example. The average time on the lot for the new IS is only 12 days. The time it takes to find which cars off the truck aren't reserved, and to take pictures and post it online would take a couple of days. By the time someone looks online, the car is most likely sold.

It's best to call the dealership directly to find which cars they have available. If anything, tell a dealer what you want, and ask them to contact you if they have what you are looking for.

Good luck!

The dealers want you to contact them so then they can go into their sales pitch. That is the real reason. Bunch of vultures.

Exactly...However, in this day and age where the web is such a critical sales tool, they ought to get off their tails and post their car selection real time! It would not be that difficult...If you call and the car is gone. Well, at least you called right!

My GS stayed on the dealer website for 3 months until I called them and asked to have it removed. They said that Sportdesigns are pretty rare so it was helping to bring people into the showroom.
The eventually took it down.
