No Henry, Mercedes never had a six speed auto transmission. For the regular non-AMG MB models, they upgraded from 5 speed straight to 7 speed.

funny story
My friend with his E63 told me this horror story. He was going about 75 on the freeway, when all of the sudden his power steering went out. Then, his whole car started messing up and the gadgets started tweeking out and going out of control. Nonetheless, the car worked back up and he gave a mouthful of the Mercedes Dealership. Now, he has waiting about a month or so just to get it fixed because they don't have the parts from Germany.
He is now thinking of getting a S65.
My friend with his E63 told me this horror story. He was going about 75 on the freeway, when all of the sudden his power steering went out. Seriously, I like the CLS so much that I still won't mind getting one as a 4th or 5th car

that's a e63?!?!?!!! i highly doubt. not only the exhaust looks diff (e63 has quad i believe), the front bumper looks very different from the amg ones as well (either e55 or e63). in fact that looks just like a normal e class front bumper?
