Yeah i was thinking the same thing. I actually made that slogan back in highschool as a slogan for a luxury brand i made as a class project. The teacher gave me a bad grade cause the slogan was to close to the Lexus slogan.

This is not actually poking fun at Lexus, it is actually true in the majority of Lexus cars anyway. The 2nd gen IS is the only one breaking that rule right now.

Yeah we should do that and everyone can vote on whos is the best in both funny and serious.

Lexus is NOT perfect. They may be closer to it on many fronts the other brands, but no one's perfect in design, execution, service, value, luxury, etc.

Yeah, real professional.

To me Lexus symbolizes:
- refinement
- quiet
- luxury
- high quality / precise build
- reliability

Anyway, to capture the above, maybe some possibilities for a slogan are:

Peace on wheels

Refining luxury to a new level

Raising the bar again, quietly

Lexus - it's one less thing to think about

I love one of Lexus's slogans for the LS430 and I think I can generalize it for all Lexuses:
