very interesting. but then there is no reason for me to trust the very little bit of them to begin with, and i never recommend my friends too so it should be fine

anyway, it's very sad that we have dishonest places like this everywhere

that wasn't the fuel filter they marked, it was the fuel pump they marked

This, is a fuel filter for a Jeep: http://www.rockauto.com/ref/WIX/Deta...asp?Part=33316

And I've known all along Jiffy Lube is junk. They use crap Fram made filters, cheap ATF and coolant, and hire high school dropouts to do their work. C'mon, how do you think that first guy got his iPod? Not to defend Iffy Lube the Accord they took in doesn't use an external cooler(ditto for the Odyssey), but Iffy Lube doesn't carry the right Honda ATF-Z1 fluid. They use a so-called "universal" fluid from Pennzoil or Heartland Products.

yep..not only jiffy but a i got bad service at discount tire store and express tires.

discount tire store told me that 3 of my rims were bent and i need to get them repaired. they also installed the incorrect valve stem on my rims. i needed the "L" shaped valve stem to i can pump up my tires but they gave me straight ones not allowng me pump my tires up because they were on the inner side of the rims. when confronted, they said that these were "special rims" and they didnt have that valve stem. btw: i supplied them with valve stems and magically they appeared. i had also just bought the rims and i went to a different shop "evans" and they said that my rims were not bent like discount told me. waste of time and money.

express tires..i went in for an alignment. the guy pulls the car up about 20 minutes later and says its done. i didnt feel comfy so i took it to evans to have them check it out. it turns out that they didnt do anything so evans realigned my car and it took them 45 mintues to do so. i went back to express and they told me that the car was in spec and because i had aftermarket rims, the machine cannot determine the "correct" specs. i asked them why evans was able to do so and they told me that they have a different machine and also that the specs are not true.

I am not a huge JL fan, but I do get my oil changed there for my GS4. I use synthetic, and I just stand right in front of my car and watch them to make sure they know what they are doing. I see him take off the old oil filter and put on a new one. I am right there when they pull out the 1 quart bottles of synthetic and put it in my car. They try to to oversell you a lot of services, but if you are direct with what you want from the get go, they usually stop asking. It is hard to trust any one. I live in the Chicago area, and I know some Lexus dealerships that overcharge and do services that are not necessarily needed yet.

i too stand right in front of them while they are doing it. but it's always great to change your own oil cuz you know you won't con yourself nor do a half-A$ job.

it's a good Advice to know what you need, replaces or fix before going to one of these places.
