i was getting coffee at my local coffee house this AM when i saw a south Orange County soccer mom getting in a brand spanking new Mercedes Benz GL. I thought at first it was a DLR for MFR vehicle as i had not known that it was released yet.

What i will say is this GL is HUGE...and it really reminded me of the JEEP Commander for some reason. the rear C pillar as it goes to the rear hatch glass looks really bad...kind of like an after thought when they decided to build a GL and decided to modify the ML's rear section to accommodate the bigger interior space.

I'll have to go to the dealer in person to really see how this thing sizes up next to the ML but i'm just not impressed w/ at least the side profile of this SUV

 

I haven't seen one outside of the NY Auto Show. I have to say it looks alright, not an impressive design. As a Range Rover fan it's hard to impressed by MB's latest offering. But its is pretty large. I'll still take the G-Class.
