RSX discontinued after 2006 (?)
Screw the RSX, it is inferior to the good old integra in every possible way. It built quality is cheaper, the interior is horrific, that fake carbon fiber, hard plastic and and pressed out gauge backplates that arent even pressed evenly make it look cheaper than a dodge neon. On top of that it has a subpar macperson strut front suspension instead of double wishbone found in integras, and it's engine while powerful is not anywhere near as rev happy as integras.
Overall the car feels heavier, doesnt stick to the corners, and drives just plain horrible compared the integra.
What Honda should do, is design a coupe based on the TSX - maybe make the base a little shorter, and lower the engine displacement to reduce weight and increase redline to gain power. That would be one hell of a coupe and a worthy replacement for the integra.
As far as the RSX goes, the new Civic SI does everything better.

hahhaa no disagreement there marshall, i never commented about the build quality of the car, can care less about acura in general.
but i am talking about performance. the type r in japan is way up there, far better than the type s here

The Integra, by contrast, was truly a jewel...........almost everything fit together and operated like a Rolex watch.
I disagree with you mmarshall. I had RSX for about 4 years and it was probably one of the best built car for around 22K price range. I might be biased but I think RSX is par with Integra build quality if not better.

Of course you are free to disagree. And I'm sure your RSX was reliable.....most of them are. Reliability, though, does not always mean good fit-and-finish. The Infiniti G35 is another good example of this.........a reliable car with questionable fit-and-finish.
Well, the RSX is no less deserving of a luxury badge than was the first generation IS300. Both would have sold better if given their respective Honda and Toyota badging and an appropriate change in price.
I just don't see the point of the RSX when the Civic Si is more fun and costs less.
Speaking of build quality, the 2nd gen 3.2CL that I once owned was probably one of the worst cars I've had the displeasure of living with. New transmission after 4,000 miles, strange electrical gremlins with the windows, paint that flaked off from a gust of wind, more creaking from the interior trim than a 17th century ocean galleon.

Hopefully the price collapsed like the Prelude did on its way out. I might be inclined to buy the RSX-S.
Either way Honda really needs to take the Euro Accord (TSX) build a cpe and give it the new 2.3L turbo sh-awd from the RDX.

LOS ANGELES — Honda has decided to stop making the Acura RSX coupe at the end of the 2006 model year and is not yet prepared to announce a replacement for the entry-level Acura product. The RSX, successor to the popular Integra, originally made its debut in 2002.
American Honda Motor executive John Mendel, quoted by AutoWeek, said Acura wants to be "performance, luxury, and technology — in the BMW area a little bit." That would seem to indicate that Acura will leave the lower-end products to Honda from now on.
The Acura RSX coupe with its 2.0-liter 155-hp four-cylinder engine is priced at just over $20,940 or at about the same level as a Honda Civic Si, which has a more than 40-horsepower advantage. Sales of the RSX were down 10.6 percent in the year through March.
Acura dealers quoted by AutoWeek said they have heard rumors that Acura could be planning coupe and convertible versions of the TSX, which sells at about $28,500.
What this means to you: An entrée to the luxury marquee is gone for younger or beginning-to-be-upwardly-mobile consumers.
