Get the compression tested on that car ASAP, and inspect the coolant for oil. A good compression check is to leave the coolant fill cap off and turn on the car. If you get a geyser of coolant, your cooling seals are toast.

I've owned quite a few of these cars over the years...rx-7's and the rotary engine are wonderful cars when properly maintained. Excluding Miatas, Rx-7's have historically had some of the best handling for a compact RWD platform.
So mike you are saying I should have the radiator cap off ?? and turn on the car ? do you immediately see coolant start coming out then we have a problem ? Im gonna do it in the morning.

Yes thats correct :P sounds strange, but that's the easist telltale sign without plunking down for a full leakdown test just yet.

Mike the previous owner on this car installed an ACT street clutch. I absoulutely hate it cuz it squeeks at times when I release the clutch pedal do you know what it could be ? its not slipping. The clutch kit was installed a year ago and the car sat for almost a year. I was thinking its the clutch bearing or something. I really wish he had installed the OEM clutch I ****ing hate these aftermarket clutches there is no need unless you have a really powerfull car or something.
