Default New 2007 Escalade is hot!!

I have been waiting for a redesigned LX470 ..but I can't wait too much longer for it's redesign.
I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a 2007 Escalade this summer.
Can't beat the style, power, and price. (But don't know how reliable it will be .. so I would rather have a LX470).

What are everyone's thoughs on the 2007 Escalade.

The old one sucked, horrible cheap interior, outdated engine and tranny.

The new one is finally on par with a Lexus SUV.

But then again, anything from GM is expected to be recalled especially the 1st year and should have a fair number of problems.

Should I or or shouldn't I ... tell me?

(PS ... come on Lexus, I have been a loyoal customer , I have 2002 LS430 and love it.
Your deslership service is 5 star!, and your cars are safe and dependable. So you have resesigned evey model in your lineup, but one. Give me a reason (or at least a hint, not to get the Escalade).

Be patient, grasshoppa. It'll be worth the wait as I have yet to be disappointed with any of Lexus's redesigned vehicles

Plus, yeah, you're right, that Escalade will have more recalls and TSB's on it in the first year than the first 5 model years that the Lexus will have.

Default so true!!! ..I know that for sure!!

Yea ..I know GM engineer not so bright.

I expect to have numerous problems with the Escalade within the first 2 years.
That's why I want another Lexus.

But I need to room of a Escalade (ESV really!!!)
I don't want an escalade, but it's cool looking, but I know underneath ..it's just Chevy junk for 30 grand more.

I saw the new Escalade at the LA Auto Show this year and I was blown away. It looks awesome and is now on my short list as a candidate to replace my LX470.

I too think the new 'Slade is a real beaut. I would still wait a year or 2 before purchasing one. Just to get all the kinks worked out... and there WILL be kinks...

Maybe...maybe not. I wouldn't go out here on a limb and make a blanket statement. GM has obviously put some work....and money...into their new full-size SUV's. For the first time that I can ever remember, they have materials that seem to approach Lexus-grade quality...especially on the dash.
