Default 2007 Hyundai Entourage announced

Looks like a worthy alternative to the Sienna/Odyssey.

It's on my review list when it becomes available....I already have a couple of requests to check it out............though, coming from the same platform, it probably won't be much different from the new Kia Sedona.

it looks absolutly horrible, I can tell you right now that the dude that designed Sonata was nowhere close, not even on the same continent...

Interior looks ok, except for the steering wheel. Only tilt adjustment is an dissapoitment for 2006 vehicle. Limited has decent features (memory seats for example).

That appears to be a low-trim version. I'm sure the top-line versions will be a lot nicer inside and out.
I'm pretty confident in saying that because here is its corporate brother the new Kia Sedona:

Open this site and click " GALLERY " for some good shots of how nice the new top-line Sedona is.

what exactly can be changed in exterior? it seems to be one of the better equipped versions with alloy wheels, projector lights, blacked out windows, parking sensors at back... in fact, exterior is probably "Limited" trim.

The exterior is okay. About the same as an Odyssey or Sienna. Minivans are all pretty much similar outside.

Interior looks like it could use some higher grade plastics.

It looks to be made as boring and as cheap as possible but I guess that's exactly what the market Hyundai is targeting at wants.

As inspiring as a 1980's minivan in the 21st century...

We'll have to wait, of course, and see how Hyundai decides to market it but the last Sedona differed markedly on the outside from the base to the top versions...the top versions had two-tone paint, more chrome, and more body-color-painted parts instead of black. Just because a minivan is basically a utilitarian people-mover doesn't mean it has to look like a morgue.

i know what you mean, but we are looking at top spec version above. It can only look worse without tinted windows, alloys, etc. What really stands out is the front, which really looks as bad design - those lights, hood lines, etc, simply dont work together.

I am sure that they had limitations because of the use of Sedona everything, but thats not an good excuse.

What I am saying is that Sonata looks really good, new Santa Fe looks really good, and this really doesnt look that good. Sienna is much more fluid looking to me anyway.

Just one more thing about the Entourage. Of course I would have preferred to have had a chance to see it at the recent DC Auto Show.....especially after spending three days there. But at least Hyundai didn't introduce it at the Detroit Show, which is already too large and with too many new introductions. Call me envious if you want, but if we didn't get a chance to see it here in DC, I'm glad they are at least introducing it not in Detroit but Chicago.
