Sick gotta love 6speedonline
That address is good if you want to go to the State Park which is south down PCH. That's not where the meets are at. They are located here:

Crystal Cove Promenade
Pacific Coast Highway & Crystal Heights Drive
7772-8112 East Coast Highway
Newport Beach, CA 92657

Crystal Cove is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Wanna see the latest and greatest and talk to the owners about their rides? It's there every Saturday.

(Newbies be warned; the show is only an hour long, so if you show up at 8:00, you'll see the last cars pulling out of the lot. Get there at 7am.)

As for the money aspect of the area, I'm not sure that's relevant. These are car people for the most part. A few ballers, but mostly passionate car freaks. Barry Meguiar shows up occasionally in his Brabus S600. Went in the rain two weeks ago figuring the lot would be mostly empty. Not even close. (see pic)

What happens around the cars can be quite humorous though. About a year ago, there were these two white guys in their late 20's dressed in full rapper-gangsta mode talking the talk and doin' the walk in front of the Starbucks there. They both had little designer dogs and were arguing about who had the best dog groomer. If I wasn't carrying coffee, I woulda smacked them!

On a better note, about two years ago, I was sipping java at the Bucks and Peter Ueberroth pulls up in his '03 Pebble Beach Edition SC430. He glanced briefly at the "little people" and their cute little car show, grabbed some coffee, politely acknowledged my SC430 which he had parked next to, and left. Classy.

I've seen two Koenigsegg CCR's there. The only modern day car I haven't seen there yet is a Pagani Zonda. Next time I go, there will probably be 6 of them...

Yeah, the CC "show" is actually a weekly meet. Definitely get there by 7:00 AM - it's south of Corona Del Mar and north of Laguna Beach- sort of half way between. I only live a few miles away, but I'm lucky to get down there once a month...

I've seen Bruce Meyer there, Steve Saleen, and a few other industry heavy-hitters. Sometimes a car manufacturer will show up with a cool car; I saw the new Eclipse and the new Miata there about one month before they were officially available.

Nice cars... nice "trophy wives" there too (that's mostly why I go)
