I have always done the body myself, but this year I have built my workshop up with several additions such as a Porter Cable 20 gal air compressor and a respectable gravity feed gun, so I anticipate handling the paint myself from now on (my father has been a painter for 35 yrs). I'd like a 50 gal unit, but the 20 will work for panels.
Nice looking vette! Now all you need is a set of those chrome american racing wheels with that classic look. A friend of mines father has one in the same color except a convertable (same generation as well) and the wheels he has on his really make the car look great.
Those are SUPERB looking wheels as it is. I disagree with jhenty that anything different is needed.....regardless of their origin, factory or aftermarket........unless, of course, they are oversize to the point where they mess up speedometer and odometer readings. I am not a Corvette expert, but right off-hand they don't look like they are big enough to screw up the readings.
I also vote for the new bumper also, not too cazy about the white paint on the bumper, I think it would be better if the (corvette) on the bumper was black, or left red.
