So I sold the M...
At least the standard brakes were upgraded now to duel pistons and 12.6-12.8" rotors up front. Much larger and perform very very good. Plus the pads now last much longer.

2. Even though a few of us here know what Brembo is, the majority of G35 owners don't care. They like the looks and clearly, the MSRP is very nice for the car. they could care less who makes the brakes. 99% of ANY luxury car buyer, could care less about "Brembos".
3. This car is simply a Nissan Skyline with Infiniti badges. So the Brembos make TONS of sense on the Nissan Skyline, powerful brakes are expected. Not so with a luxury badged car.
4. The Brembos performed real well and aggresive, TOO aggresive for the majority of buyers of this car who are used to much smoother and longer lasting brakes.
5. So what happened is a ton of people COMPLAINED about the Brembos, even though they were performing up to SPEC. Luxury car buyers didn't want or expect the early wear or great feel of the brakes. Its funny b/c here is the G35 offering a GREAT OEM brake system from the Nissan Skyline, but American car buyers didn't like it.
6. Nissan then decided to drop the Brembos entirely since research showed, the majority of buyers didn't care if they had them or not.
7. Of course, this did **** off the few enthusiasts that see this as a GREAT OEM brake system.
I think they were a GREAT OEM brake kit to offer here and wish they at least kept it as an option for those that VALUE these brakes. Kudos to Nissan bringing us the Skyline Brembos initially.

another reason why the brembos were dropped,,,,,, imagine u are not a car enthusiasts with a g35 or a z with the brembo package,,, and after 18k miles,,,, your brakes are bad,,, you bring it in to the dealers for a break service and you are slapped with a bill for over 2 grand....... this sure did **** alot of customers off..

since we are car enthusiast we do it ourselves... but there are many people out there that still rely on the dealer for service..... also with the brembos,, since the pads are so soft.... they go out pretty quickly,,,also the rotors need to be changed everytime also..... and we all know how much the dealer will charge for some brembo rotors.....
