Bad replacement for the Lightning
Well - Not sure if the Syclone was a "joke"... That thing was a serious performer. They were completely impractical, just like a Vette - but they were quicker (1/4 mile) and were cheaper. For the cash a quicker vehicle could not be had at the time. Turn the boost up just a wee bit and they were 12 second monsters. Sure they couldn't tow anything, sure they were impractical, but "fun" can be a purpose too. The big Ford above is, well... I don't know. I think it looks pretty good, but yeah - not sure if we need 6000 pound beasts pretending to be sporty... But I'd love to take it for a rip! As long as I didn't have to fill it up after!!

you also admit, it could do little else but burn rubber and run the quarter-mile. There are plenty of vehicles that can do that......burn up tires.

I'm a bit confused.. ability to burn expensive rubber is a bad thing? I take it that you just see no merit in trucks that sacrifice their truck qualities for the sake of performance - fair enough, but I enjoy power and performance in all forms, even bizarre or untraditional ones, in fact I highly encourage it.
